With the highly anticipated release of Amazon’s first MMO, New World, I have decided to put together some resources about the elements of the game that MGN was fortunate to get hands-on experience with during the closed beta, starting with the weapon mastery system.
I’ve covered every single weapon that is in the game, in terms of their statistical benefits, skills, passives, and augments, that are available for the weapon, as well as a little explanation around the weapon functions.
If you’re unfamiliar with the series or with how the weapon mastery system works in New World, the more that you use a weapon, the more proficient your character will become wielding it. As you hit certain leveling milestones with a weapon, you’ll be granted skill points that you can spend on a number of active skills from two trees, augments that will change how those skills function, and passives that change or improve how your character plays whilst wielding that weapon.
I’m going to put our links to all the weapons so that you can navigate to your favourite:
Sword & Shield
The “Musket of Unseen Power”.
A tier five legendary!
The “Crystalline Curse”.
A legendary gauntlet!
The “Flawless Grandmaster’s Spear”.
It’s legendary and tier five!
The “Hatchet of the Corrupted Frontier”.
One of the coolest-looking weapons in New World!
This one is the “Regent’s Bow”.
With a 570 gear score!
The mighty “Stonerend”.
Legendary with a huge list of perks!
Get huge healing numbers with “The Grotto’s Seed”.
A powerful legendary Life Staff!
The “Spellstaff of Fiery Intent”.
Great name, great look, great staff!
Split foes in half with the “Axe of the Final War”.
One of the few legendary Great Axes!
Assassinate your enemies with the ‘Assassination Blade’.
A legendary Rapier!
And with that, we have guides on every single weapon that’s available in Amazon’s new MMO, New World. We’re constantly updating the site with new New World content, bringing you the best in news, guides, reviews, and more. So, if you’re interested in New World, be sure to check back regularly!
That just about wraps things up for our overview of the weapon mastery system. We hope that you’ve found the information useful in planning out your character, and we hope to see you online!
