Outriders – THE MIGRAINE Legendary Weapon Review

The Migraine. Just look at this thing. I don’t even know where to start. It looks like, well, something that could give you a migraine. This organic, living, pulsating, tumor-like gun is an absolute shredder. I guess let’s start with what type of weapon this is. The Migraine is a legendary submachine gun. I cannot stop looking at the design. How can anyone take their eyes off this thing?

The spine-like structure that goes across the top of the gun, the skin that wraps itself around the flesh, the throbbing of the gun like some aneurysm, while all this blue energy is flowing all around it. Calling it “The Migraine” almost feels like an understatement with how vile this gun looks. Let’s move on to the stats and mods.

The Migraine

Stats and Mods

The clip has a size of 50, and the rpm is 857. Damage is at 13, with the reload speed of 1.3 seconds, which is not too long, and the crit multiplier is at 150%. Accuracy is just over midway at 55%, stability is straight up there at 89%, which is insane for a submachine gun. The range is sitting at 15 meters. It’s to be expected that the range on an SMG is shorter than most guns, however, when you’re up close this gun absolutely shreds!

The mods for this gun are really quite interesting, the first one being Ultimate Bleeding Bullets, which inflicts Bleed on enemies. The second mod is called Bomb’s Ahead, whereby killing shots turn enemies into an Anomaly bomb, dealing 153 damage. This has a cooldown of 3 seconds.

My Opinion

Ever since I got this gun, it has shredded enemies like paper. The Bombs Ahead mod is so visually amazing and the ability to turn your enemies into a huge bomb that inflicts 153 damage in its area, with only a 3-second cooldown, is just insane. This makes it so easy to wipe out ads that are all bunched up together.

The reload speed is one of the fastest in the game, which is perfect for this gun as it makes it feel like you’re not slowing down with the absolute onslaught parade. Classes like the Pyromancer and the Trickster are going to benefit so much from using a gun like this as both require you to be semi-close to your enemies. (More on that in my build guides!) Overall this weapon ticks so many boxes for me personally, with both its visuals and its gameplay. However, the one thing that lets this weapon down is its first mod, Ultimate Bleeding Bullets, which feels somewhat underpowered and extraneous.

The way that I see it, legendaries in this game are going to be a huge focus for players to chase. We know this as a fact because it’s all everyone is doing right now in the demo. Therefore, these weapons need to feel strong, unique, and impressive in both looks and gunplay. Having mods like “Ultimate Bleeding Bullets” just makes it feel like a generic weapon that you can find on the ground as a basic blue weapon. So for that reason, I’m going to give The Migraine a solid 8/10.
