Outriders – AERIE MASTER Legendary Weapon Review

In this review, we are going to be looking at the legendary pump-action shotgun, the Aerie Master. This is a beautiful shotgun; absolutely stunning. I love everything about the way this weapon looks and the fact that it doesn’t have that same repetitive “bone structure” is such a relief. It’s like a breath of fresh air.

I love how the shotgun has the wings of an eagle wrapped around the barrel; the design is truly something else. The good looks of the weapon definitely continue through to its stats and mods too.

Aerie Master

Stats and mods

The clip size for the Aerie Master is a total of 3, with the RPM sitting at 86. The damage output is 168, the reload speed is pretty quick at 1.6 seconds, and finally, the crit multiplier is 104%. Accuracy is just over half-way at 65%, stability is to be expected at 24%, and range is even more expected, sitting at 20 meters. Now, it’s time to talk about the fun part of this gun, the mods!

The first mod is the crazy one called “Weightlessness” whereby shots inflict Time Rift on enemies. Time Rift raises the enemy into the air for 5 seconds, which is so powerful. Having 5 seconds’ worth of free damage can change the outcome of a fight for you and potentially save your life. The second mod is called Critical Point which increases the chance of scoring a critical shot by 15%.

My Opinion

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I love this shotgun. I personally believe that this is truly the best shotgun in the game and I’m willing to bet the entire full game on it too. There is so much about Aerie Master that truly makes this an abomination. The three shots that it has, paired with the increased chance of +15% crit damage is insanity. This weapon does so much damage that I can’t even really put it into words. You can literally defeat captains in less than three seconds – it’s crazy.

If you’re ever in a tight spot with enemies running at you and you don’t manage to finish them off, don’t worry, this gun has your back because you can literally hold them in place, raising them above the ground like an open target for five seconds. Five seconds of full-on damage is a lot, and it’s only because of the Weightlesness mod that makes this possible. Classes like the Devastator, that heal from close-quarter combat would benefit hugely from Aerie Master due to it synergizing so well. That isn’t to say that other classes wouldn’t benefit from this weapon as well.

I was running a damage-type build for my Technomancer and used this shotgun the entire time. It truly ticks every single box. I don’t have a bad thing to say about it. And the reload speed! It takes 1.6 seconds to reload this weapon, which is one of the fastest in the game, meaning that the three-shell clip size doesn’t even matter. I do like the fact that they kept it at three due to balancing, as anything more than three would have just made this gun completely broken. I cannot wait to take this into higher-level activities when the full game releases. It goes without saying that I am giving the Aerie Master a total score of 10/10. Have I said how much I love this shotgun?

I really hope you found both my video and my article to be helpful. Happy legendary farming and take care!
