Minecraft: Fast and Easy Way To Make Netherite Tools

Netherite was implemented in Minecraft in the version 1.16 update and is currently the strongest ingot to make tools and armor! It’s only found in the nether and is quite rare, much like diamonds. Although netherite may be hard to find, here are a few steps you can take to make it easier!

Step 1: Craft Beds

The first thing you need to do is craft some beds for the nether! To craft beds, all you need are wooden planks from trees and wool. You can either kill some sheep to gather wool or create shears in order to shear the wool off the sheep. An alternative method you can do to gather wool is by using 4 strings in your crafting table. And if there’s a village nearby, you can also raid the villagers’ houses and steal their beds.

Step 2: Find Diamonds

You are now going to need diamonds. Without diamonds, you won’t be able to create your netherite tools or armor. A quick way to find diamonds is to dig down until your Y-coordinates hit 11 and dig in a straight line until you find some. Make sure you have enough diamonds to create whatever netherite tool or armor you need! You can now create a diamond pickaxe and grab 10 obsidian to create a nether portal in order to enter the nether biome.

Step 3: Find Ancient Debris

Now that you have entered the nether, you’ll want to grab some gold ingots for later. Once you grab some gold, just like finding diamonds, you must dig down until your Y-coordinates hit 11 and mine some blocks in a straight line. In the tiny hole you created, place a bed and a block behind it. Trying to sleep in a bed in either The End or the nether, creates a giant explosion. If you don’t place a block in front of you, the explosion will kill you!

You will now want to continue the process of digging a hole and use the beds you created to make a giant explosion to quickly cover the area and find an item called ancient debris. Once you finally find ancient debris, make sure to mine it with a diamond pickaxe, otherwise, you won’t be able to grab the ancient debris. Before you leave, make sure to have at least 4 ancient debris.

Step 4: Crafting Your Netherite Tools/Armor

Now that you have your ancient debris, you want to smelt it on a furnace to create an item called netherite scrap. Once you have 4 netherite scrap, you’ll want to place the 4 netherite scraps and 4 gold ingots in a crafting table (in any position) to create 1 netherite ingot. You now want to craft a smithing table by using 4 wooden planks and 2 iron ingots. By using the smithing table, you can place both your diamond tools or armor and your netherite ingot to finally create your netherite item!
