Outriders – GRIM MARROW Legendary Weapon Review

Hey, everyone! Welcome back to another legendary review and today we’re looking at the Grim Marrow.

I’m starting to notice a common theme when it comes to these legendary weapons. The more I review, the more I am seeing a repeated theme – this being the bone structure of these weapons. Most of the legendaries from what I have seen in the demo all have a similar element to them, and there is only so much of that design I can personally take before it starts to feel repetitive and lackluster.

Now, that being said, I’m not going to hold that against the Grim Marrow, as I’m just reviewing these in the order I get them and if this was my first every legendary, I definitely wouldn’t be saying this right now. So, with that in mind, visually it is pleasing. It’s a big, giant gun that clearly means business. One thing I do really like about the design is how the purple crystal is forming through the bone structure, like marrow coming out of bone. Again, we’ve seen this design before, but on this gun, it just works really well.

You can tell just by looking at it that the Grim Marrow is going to pack a punch…or does it? Let’s check out the mods and stats to see just how powerful this legendary light machine gun really is.

Grim Marrow

Stats and Mods

Clip size for the Grim Marrow is at a total of 80 RPM, sitting at 545, with the damage being 13. Reload is quite long but definitely justified at 3 seconds, and the crit multiplier is right up there at 129%. Accuracy is 96%, stability is 91% and range is 50 meters.

The first mod that the Grim Marrow has is Singularity, whereby killing shots creates a singularity which when destroyed, explodes dealing 450 damage to enemies that are within a 6.5-meter radius. Wow. The second mod is called Improvised Stiffening (don’t laugh), where shots inflicted on enemies can cause them to slow. This has a cooldown of 4 seconds long.

My opinion

I’m not going to touch too heavily on the visuals as I feel I have covered that already. What I really want to focus my attention on is the absolutely insane stats and mods that this weapon has. I mean, this thing is an absolute monster and that is a huge understatement.

I’ve used this gun a lot ever since I got it and the most fun thing is its Singularity mod. After you kill an enemy, you see a giant orange ball hover in their place, and if you shoot that, it explodes and causes damage in the entire area. The mod specifically says 6.5 meters but when you see numbers appear all over your screen, it feels like the entire area just lit up. The ad clear on that mod alone is insanity.

Now, for its second mod, Improved Stiffening. Just as an aside, couldn’t they come up with a better name? I mean, it’s even purple-ish. Anyway, just as you thought that this gun couldn’t get any more overpowered, this mod literally says “hold my beer” as enemies that you shoot will literally cause them to go into a slow-motion state. At that point, enemies are as good as dead because they literally cannot escape you. If an enemy is running at you, just shoot them, and slow them down. It’s truly as simple as that.

The stats on Grim Marrow complement the mods perfectly. We’re talking about a legendary light machine gun that has 96% accuracy and 91% stability. Granted, you do have to fire some bullets first before you feel the stability tighten up, but once you get to that point you can spray bullets into the heads of your foes with complete ease. Insane accuracy, insane mods, insane visuals. An easy 10/10 for me.
