Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm FPS that mixes old school Doom stylings with some seriously heavy (metal) beats. The sound track on this game is awesome, especially if you like slaying monsters while rocking out to death metal.
One of the things you’ll notice right away is that the better you are at syncing up your kills with the beats, the bigger combos and the LOUDER the music will get. Seriously, this game gets hectic and loud FAST if you slay on beat!
In regards to the story, there isn’t too much to write home about here – you are an avenging demon that shoots various over the top firearms to the beat of death metal! No story really required!
The graphics are very good, however the performance wasn’t too great on my rig – I had to turn things down to medium in order to avoid any stuttering. This is just a demo though, and they will surely do some optimization work before the official launch in a few months!
All that said, Metal: Hellsinger is a tonne of fun, even as a demo, and you should definitely download it – especially if you are a Doom fan!
