How To Keep Skippy Forever & Permanent Headshot Mode! Cyberpunk 2077

Let’s talk about everyone’s favorite sassy, talking weapon, “Skippy”. We’re going to show you where to find it and also how to keep it on permanent headshot mode.

Eventually, Skippy will want to be returned to its owner but with this method, you’ll be able to do that, keep it in permanent headshot mode, and keep a copy of Skippy for yourself!

When you go to Heywood, head to the location on the map ( see above) and in that alleyway, you’ll find Skippy. Once you have the gun, you’ll need to select a certain option.

Here’s the thing, no matter what option you select, after 50 kills the gun will switch permanently to the option that you did not pick. For example, if you select “Stone Cold Killer” as your option, after 50 kills it will automatically revert to the other option, “Puppy Loving Pacifist”. This is not what you want to do.

Instead, you want to pick “Puppy Loving Pacifist” and then, after 50 kills, the weapon will automatically switch over to Stone Cold Killer mode. This is not an intuitive choice, so be careful when you select a mode for the gun.

Puppy Pacifist Mode

When you are in this mode, you need to make sure you get your kills (vs. leaving them incapacitated). Basically, confirm all kills. Also, you may want to avoid enemies that are strong against Tech weapons as they can be difficult to deal with because they can deflect the bullets.

Once you have accomplished the 50+ kills in “Puppy” mode, Skippy will initiate a conversation with you. At this point, you’ll be able to select an option that basically says “you are perfectly fine with killing targets”. Select that option and Skippy will switch to “Stone Cold Killer” mode.

Return Skippy To Its Owner

Before you give back the gun, it is highly recommended that you create a save point. If you mess anything up, you always have the save game to revert to. Now head to a drop point and sell Skippy. Exit out and then initiate the glitch.

To do this glitch, you’ll need to hit two buttons at the same time. One is the options button, on the Xbox it’s the button with the two windows and on keyboard it’s the escape key. You will need to hit that at the same time as the sell button. We want the sell window, with a transparent background, to open up (see below).

We are then going to go ahead and duplicate “Skippy”. Get 3 of them, so you can have one to stash in your car, one in your inventory, and one to give back to Regina. And there you have it!
