God of War – Backward Compatible Enhanced Experience
Widely considered one of the best games of the PS 4 generation, God of War is now getting a new patch that takes full advantage of the PS5’s better specs.
For the PS 4, you used to have choose between two graphics settings: a resolution favoured option and a performance (frame rate) favoured option. Well, on February 2nd, PS 5 owners will get a free patch that no longer makes that a choice you have to make.
The new graphics setting will allow you to have both maximum frame rates (performance) as well as maximum resolution. Whether you are a new player picking up the game for the first time (we see you Playstation Plus members!), or a grizzled GoW player, if you own a PS4 copy digitally or physically, you’ll receive the update at no additional cost.
We should also note that you’ll want to have a 4K-capable device for maximum God of War viewing pleasure.
