New World MMO – Everything That’s Changed Since The Preview Event

New World Changes

Like most people, I am really looking forward to New World which is set to launch later this spring, September 28th, 2021 to be exact (as of this writing). We should put an asterisk on that timeframe as New World has missed the last few release windows, however, they were all for good reason. So, with this video, I want to get you caught up on all that has changed since we last stepped into Aeternum and share some exciting news with you all.

First and foremost for my controller players out there, New World will have full controller support at launch. This was confirmed to me by the New World devs, so I couldn’t be more thrilled. You could play with a controller previously, however, there were a few things you had to do to in order to get it to work well.

But outside that, there are even more changes:

  4. Alpha has been going on, been closed to many gamers

  6. October Update
  1. Spear Added. New quest lines for these weapons have also been added.
  2. Per weapon cool-downs means all weapons have their own cooldowns (they are no longer global). They have reduced the weapon slots from three to two.
  3. Dodge roll without stamina after getting hit to prevent stun locking
  4. Every melee weapon can back stab
  5. New threat system for enemy AI including how enemies target and fight each other / ourselves.
  6. November Update

  8. Fishing Trade Skill and fishing skills.
  9. Adjustments to combat, difficulty, interface, etc…
