Cyberpunk 2077 – GTX 1070 Ti Optimization Guide

Before we get started, a few disclaimers:

• These settings may already be in a guide, I am not entirely sure.

• I have only played in the city as of right now, so performance in the more barren areas of the map would presumably be higher but I am not certain.

I was getting around 40-50 FPS playing on High/Ultra before my current configuration. After configuring my settings to what I have now, I am usually between 50-70. I only usually dip below 50 in very intense areas of the map or during heavy battles (which is to be expected).

I really hope these settings help at least one person play the game at a more enjoyable frame rate.

Updating Current Drivers

You’ve probably heard this at least 1,000 times but it is crucial that you have the newly released GeForce drivers installed. They are available for installation in the GeForce Experience application. There is a guide included below in case you are new to installing drivers, it will guide you through the entire process from start to finish.

My In-game settings (The part most of you are probably here for)

As stated in the title of this section, this is the section most of you are probably here for. If you plan on using my settings as a base and then tweaking to your liking, feel free to leave results in the comment section.

Some may not know that there is a two-option performance section in the tab labeled “Gameplay” in the in-game settings menu.

The setting that we are focusing on is crowd density, I have found that setting it to low helps with highly populated areas around the map. (Main streets, clubs, stores, etc.)

I personally like having the highest quality textures, but turning this setting to medium or low would definitely provide an even bigger boost in FPS.

I would advise copying my entire basic settings sub-section for the best results. Multiple settings in this section are pointless to me but I know that for some people settings like motion blur or chromatic aberration are actually tolerable so adjust and tweak accordingly.

I have noticed that multiple settings within the “Advanced” subsection cause massive FPS drops so I would advise copying my screenshot for the best results.

This is the continued “Advanced” subsection settings list, followed by the resolution scaling section. I have found that FidelityFX helps to stabilize FPS under certain circumstances.
