According to the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), the CD Projekt Red team is in big trouble. Apparently, they are monitoring the progress of the game to see if CD Projekt Red delivers a stable version of it, presumably for the PS4 and Xbox One versions.
The President of UOKiK may impose a fine of up to 10% entrepreneur’s income or withdraw from its assessment and instead issue a decision obliging, for example, CD Projekt Red to issue to consumers who purchased the game before its premiere on previous-generation consoles additional bonuses in the form of digital content, gadgets, or partial refunds.
It’s worth recalling that a few days after the premiere of Cyberpunk 2077, Sony (PlayStation console manufacturer) decided to remove the title from their online store and offered the possibility of obtaining a refund to consumers. In turn, Microsoft (the manufacturer of the Xbox console) did not remove the game from its store but did give the option to return it and also posted a warning that users may experience performance issues while playing the game on Xbox One consoles until it is updated. CD Projekt officially offered to help with the return of production also purchased from other sources and in a boxed version.
