Have you ever wondered what Bloodborne would look like at 60 FPS and 4K resolution? Well, the people over at Digital Foundry have found a way, however, it wasn’t easy.
The PS4 wasn’t able to run the game at 30 fps consistently (there were some slowdowns), but with the PS5, they have it working. Sort of. They’re using unsigned code, so the game was patched and made to run on PS5 development hardware. Not sure how this was possible.
Upscaling video is a tricky thing, especially with a video game. Richard used Topaz video enhance AI. They took the 1080p to 4k, and it was difficult due to the anti-aliasing, particularly the specular anti-aliasing.
