THIS COULD BE BAD NEWS FOR MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION | Minecraft 1.17 Update, News, and Information

It might be bad news for Bedrock Edition players, but who knows for sure? Here are some key points for you to decide!

It seems like Mojang has been constantly promising that one day the Bedrock Edition will be unified with the Java Edition. With the introduction of the Minecraft 1.17 Caves and Cliffs update, it has become quite evident that this might not actually be true. In fact, it might be the opposite where it seems like Java Edition and Bedrock Edition are moving increasingly farther apart.

The divide is being made ever more prominent. Something that came out recently could actually be hinting at how Bedrock Edition will most likely never achieve the goal of being a unified Minecrafter with Java Edition that is actually the new UI.

This new UI confirms that Mojang has a completely different idea and a completely different end goal to what a lot of us envisioned originally. They do not want a unified Minecraft. It is pretty evident that they (Mojang) currently like how it is with the Java and Bedrock editions.

THE BEDROCK EDITION IS DAMAGING ITSELF?

Bedrock Edition is damaging itself. It’s pretty simple how Java Edition works as a unified edition for every single PC or device. Whether it is a Mac, Windows laptop, or desktop, all these devices are unified under the same Minecraft Java Edition. That kind of unity is what Mojang tried with Bedrock Edition but it did not work out the same way, because under that same umbrella of Bedrock Edition is the Mobile Edition (previously known as Pocket Edition).

The Mobile Edition has had a devastating impact on Bedrock and the console editions of Minecraft. Before this transition to the unified Bedrock Edition, it was going pretty well. The introduction of infinite worlds and a bunch of other stuff like that made us all feel that we were not all that behind the Java players, just before mobile was added to that same umbrella. If Mojang does not do something about it, it will have a devastating impact and effect on Bedrock Edition in the long term.

IS IT REALLY BAD NEWS?

So, is this really bad news for Bedrock Edition? It’s quite hard to tell since some of the things Mojang have been doing with Bedrock is still very promising and just gets us all excited. Though the majority of players, even on polls and experiences with people, know that Bedrock players just want to be equal to Java players.
